Narrative story:
A class project with the assignment to tell any story we wanted. Immediately I knew that I wanted to create the story in the form of a comic strip. I have always been drawn to the art and pictures used to create a visual narrative rather than relying on always using text.
I worked with a lot of gradients and grids to create a similar comic dot pattern. Creating blocks that aren’t typical shapes that contain images that may overlap with others.
I shaped my narrative around four women drivers, each with their own personality, and car that plays with the color they are associated to. I was highly influenced by the types of car races you would see in Fast & Furious. Even drawing real inspirations from comic books at the book store. I also took this chance to make myself into a character with my childhood dream car from a show called Ben Ten.

All art made in Illustrator, then edited in After Effects. I also brought it into Primere Pro to help certain editing techniques, add text, and music.

Senior Project
Paris 2024 Summer Olympics
For my senior project I wanted to pursue something that would represent the many types of design I learned at FGCU. I chose the topic of the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics, this year it will be hosted in Paris.
At the time there were no original designs released yet, allowing for me to be creative in designing my own package, including medal design, logo, posters, and stickers. The biggest element that I wanted to focus on was a short opening animation.
A lot of research went into the background of the Olympics, the history, architecture, artwork, and styles. I used this project to combine my interests of art history with mementos of the Art Deco movement and Gothic styles.
All illustrations made in Illustrator and then brought into After Effects. The style I chose for my artwork is simplistic 2D images that mimic the real movements of athletes.
